Indiana Magic By Laws

Mission Statement
To attract and train competitive athletes to play softball at the highest level possible and to be seen by as many college coaches as possible.
             
Code Of Conduct
           
Managers/Coaches
Managers/Coaches must maintain a positive coaching style and knowledgeable teaching without verbal abuse. Managers/Coaches should be constantly teaching their players.
               
Managers/Coaches must set and equally enforce team rules to all players using the minimum guidelines contained in this document.
                       
Players
It is the responsibility of the players to conduct themselves in a sportsmanlike manner and get along with all players and coaches at all times.
                           
Parents
Parents should be supportive and respectful of all players and coaches and show good sportsmanship to opposing teams and umpires.
                               
Policies
All Indiana Magic Teams will advance to a high level of post season competition. All Indiana Magic teams must be registered at the “A” level as a minimum
                               
No player should be refused because of race, religious belief, or economic status.
                                         
Copies of all rosters and coaches contact information must be sent to an Indiana Magic officer. Officers must be notified when adding a player. Rosters that will exceed 14 players must get board approval before adding a 15th. Players must be insured in order to practice at Mar Len Park
                                           
Any Indiana Magic Player that leaves the program for any reason is refused re admittance at any level without approval of the board of directors. Any Magic player or coach who fails to attend a national tournament for which they have qualified, will be refused re-admittance at any level without approval of the board of directors.
                                 
All uniforms and apparel must say “Indiana Magic” and not just Magic
                                       
No player may play for any other softball team during the Indiana Magic season. Exceptions must have board approval This is normally only done for 1st year 8u players and truly special circumstances
                               
From June 1st until the end of all national tournaments, Indiana Magic must be the primary sport activity and take precedence over all other practices.
                                                 
ASA insurance is required and must be purchased by January so that we may get insurance binders to the Tippecanoe County Parks and Recreation Department and sign the lease for Mar Len Park. The wording below must be on your insurance binder.
                             
Additional Insured: Mar Len Park, Board of Commissioners of Tippecane, Tippecanoe County Parks and Recreation Board and Tippecanoe Parks and Recreation Board staff, as additional insured as their interests may appear.
                                           
Additional Insured: Indiana Magic Limited, its coaches, Board of Directors and Officers as additional insured as their interest may appear.
                                 
All new players this fall must be insured before they can practice at Mar Len. If they can show proof that they were insured individually on an ASA team the previous season in the existing year, you will not need to insure them again this fall. (They would need their individual insurance cards from their previous season)
                         
This insurance is required by the Tippecanoe County Parks Department
                               
Team Fees:
Team fees are non-refundable
                               
Any uniforms or equipment purchased with Indiana Magic team fees becomes the property of Indiana Magic Ltd. If you choose or are let go of our coaching staff, all equipment would need to be turned in for the next coach to use
